About the Role
Kashafa Young Muslim Association is a structured Islamic formation program for Muslim youth ages 7–12, built on three pillars: ʿIlm (Knowledge), ʿAmal (Action), and Khuluq (Character). We run three 10-week Mini-Mesters per year, meeting Saturdays in Dearborn, MI, with Salah Camp each summer.
This is not a tutoring gig. Kashafa runs like a structured program — scheduled blocks, rotating cadet duties, formations, chants, and a culture of excellence. Quest Guides are expected to show up prepared, hold structure, and invest genuinely in the formation of the Muslim youth in their charge.
The Three Expeditions
Iqra Expedition
Islamic knowledge and Quran. Tracks include Nooraniyah reading, Hifdh, Tajweed, Seerah, Deen, Quranic Arabic, and character formation. The flagship expedition — every cadet is enrolled.
Kashafa Expedition
Outdoor adventure, scouting, and character development. Guides lead physical challenges, formations, survival skills, and scouting-style programming with cadets in the field and in session.
STEM Expedition
Applied sciences through the Islamic intellectual tradition — Ibn al-Haytham, al-Khawarizmi, Ibn Sina. Session-based, kit-driven. Tentatively Friday nights.
